Thermilate CR-Coat

THERMILATE CR-Coat is a premium quality, insulating, alkyd-based enamel coating with a NanoCNB formulation  used for multiple interior and exterior applications. Our unique formulation offers superior heat rejection from the radiant heat sources. This reduces the cryogenic gas expansion and petroleum product evaporation from the radiant heat-induced temperature increases, when applied to oil storage tanks.

The toughness and durability resists abrasion and gives excellent scrub ability. It resists sagging and has excellent levelling qualities for a smooth finish. CR-Coat provides exceptional flow characteristics, outstanding coverage, is easy to apply and is rust inhibitive.

Our unique NanoCNB additive uses technology that was originally developed by NASA in order to combat the high temperatures encountered by the space shuttles. It has been
independently tested and scientifically proven by world leading laboratories.

CR-Coat is perfect to use in areas that are subjected to moisture as it will not only reduce heat transfer, but also protect against moisture ingress.

How does it Work?

Thermilate CR Coat contains Thermilate - a fine powder, made up of NanoCNB technology, which has been manufactured using a ‘top-secret’ process. NanoCNB microspheres are vacuum inside, and work on a similar principle to that of a mini thermos flask. Our technology enables the Thermilate microspheres to refract, reflect and dissipate heat. When applied to internal walls and ceilings, heat loss is reduced – and when applied on external walls and roofs, Thermilate will reflect heat from the sun, creating a cooler internal environment.

Applying CR-coat

Thermilate CR-Coat can be applied by paint brush, roller, paint pad or using spray equipment. If using spray equipment, the filters must be removed. Two coats of the Thermilate CR-Coat need to be applied for best results. Thermilate CR-Coat gives a very mild textured feel and produces a flat finish.

When used on roofs, external walls and the interior of external walls, Thermilate CR-Coat can reduce energy costs dramatically as it is specially formulated for use on buildings which are subjected to sustained solar heat.


Equally, if painted on interior walls by conventional methods, Thermilate CR-Coat it will help to retain heat within the building when outside night temperatures fall.
